Caruso Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After hitting safely in all five games, registering four multi-hit games and reaching base safely 14 times as part of a 3-2 week for St. John's, Alex Caruso has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Caruso batted .500 (10-for-20) with one three-hit game and three two-hit games for the Red Storm. The outfielder also scored nine runs, including at least one in each game. Caruso reached base safely in seven-straight plate appearances to open a three-game series against Seton Hall and posted a .583 on-base percentage for the week.
Caruso went 2-for-5 with two runs scored to start the week against LIU Brooklyn before finishing 2-for-5 with a run scored against Columbia. The junior went 3-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored in the first game against Seton Hall before going 2-for-4 with a run scored in game two. Caruso was 1-for-3 with two runs scored to conclude the weekend.
The leading hitter in the BIG EAST, Caruso has a .371 average and also ranks tied for fifth in the league with 22 runs scored.
