Hackimer Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After notching three saves and setting three new program-records as St. John's posted a 4-0 week and concluded the regular season on a 12-game winning streak, Thomas Hackimer was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Hackimer totaled three appearances and posted a 0.00 ERA with two strikeouts in 3.0 innings of work. The reliever held the opposition to a .000 (0-for-9) batting average and allowed just one baserunner via a walk.
The junior also set new program-records for career-saves, career-appearances and single-season saves. After earning the save in a midweek win against Saint Peter's (May 12), Hackimer registered his record 27th save and record 90th appearance in the second game of a series against Southern Illinois (May 15). The reliever then notched his record 15th save of the season in the finale against the Salukis (May 16).
Craig Hansen held the previous records for career-saves (26) and single-season saves (14), while Ryan Cole had the record for career-appearances (89).
