Camara Selected To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping lead St. John's to a 1-1-0 week, senior captain Gabriel Camara was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Camara scored a game-winning goal and also anchored a defensive unit that allowed a combined total of just 11 shots, including six on goal, in two games.
The center back tallied the game-winner against Siena (Sept. 15), while leading a defensive effort that held the Saints without a shot until the 72nd minute. The Red Storm went on to surrender only four total shots in the contest, including just one on goal.
Camara and the defense allowed seven shots, five on goal, against Wisconsin (Sept. 19). The Red Storm also limited the Badgers to just one corner kick.
St. John's returns to action and continues its eight-game homestand on Sept. 22 with a 7:30 p.m. game against Quinnipiac.
