On Providence:
"[Providence] is a really good team. They're really skilled. Kris Dunn is a big time player. [Providence] is versatile, they can shoot the 3-ball, and they're tough and strong. That's a really good team."
On St. John's play in the second half:
"I thought our team battled. We got down and didn't give up. We got back into the game and made some big shots. Overall, I liked our effort and competiveness. All the credit to [Providence], they're one of the top teams in the country, but I liked the way my guys battled."
On Kris Dunn:
"He's one of the best players in the country. He has the total package. He can post-up, hit the three, and play off the dribble. He's an impressive player."
On the lineup St. John's went with in the second half:
"We try to mix and match. A lot of times we try to pound it down [low] when we have an advantage. It doesn't always work that way. We [recently] got a lot of our guys on the floor together so we're still trying different combinations. It's a work in progress."
