- Team Notes
- St. John's finished with nine steals and forced a season-high 22 turnovers. In two contests against Marquette this season, the Red Storm forced a total of 42 turnovers (21.0 per game).
- The Red Storm scored 50 points in the second half, the second-most points scored in either half this season. St. John's scored 59 in the first half against Chaminade (Nov. 25).
Individual Notes
- Durand Johnson scored a career-high 20 points to lead all scorers. Johnson has reached double-figures in five-straight games and has 15 double-digit efforts on the season. In league play, the graduate student leads the Red Storm with 13.4 points per game.
- Federico Mussini finished with 19 points, all in the second half, to reach double-figures for the 15th time this season. Mussini finished with three 3-pointers to register his fifth-straight multi-trey game and 12th of the year.
- Amar Alibegovic made his second-straight start and scored 10 points for his fifth-career double-figure game, all this season.
- Kassoum Yakwe swatted a career-high seven shots, the most in a single game by a BIG EAST player this season. Yakwe also pulled down eight rebounds and averages a team-high 6.4 boards in conference action.
