St. John's Head Coach Chris Mullin...
On where the game turned:
"We got off to a good start but with about 10 to 12 minutes to finish the first half I thought we had some turnovers and lost some assignments. [Amir Coffey] got out there and we gave him some easy baskets. We didn't guard him in that corner three so that stretch killed us. In the second half, we came back, competed and played a good half but that 10 to 12 minutes is where the game turned."
On the team shooting:
"You're going to make and miss shots. We didn't get the quality shots that I would like. I would like more ball movement and some high pick and rolls. The ball was a little stagnant but that happens when you're down. We didn't get great looks but again I thought the turnovers and paying attention to detail on defense is what turned the game in the first half."
On the upcoming schedule:
"Any game we play is going to be a good test. We got guys that haven't played college basketball and the guys returning are sophomores. We'll learn from it, keep working and we'll get better for it."
On Amir Coffey:
"He killed us in the first half. We helped him a little bit and got him going, but he's got nice length and nice touch. He killed us."
