Andrew Withers Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After closing out the regular season with yet another strong performance, Andrew Withers has been named to the final BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll of the year, it was announced on Monday afternoon by the league office.
On Thursday night against Providence, Withers recorded his fourth-straight appearance with at least six saves, matching a career-high with nine stops against the Friars. The goalkeeper from Wellington, New Zealand, bumped his season-long save percentage to .840, which ranks second in the conference and 12th in the nation.
The redshirt sophomore compiled a goals against average of 0.77 in 2016, good enough for third in the conference and 31st in the NCAA overall.
Withers set or matched a season-high for saves in each of his last four appearances this season, stopping six shots against Georgetown and Villanova before turning away seven tries against DePaul.
