QUEENS, N.Y. - Following a breakout season for the Red Storm that saw him burst onto the Division I scene, junior midfielder Harry Cooksley has been recognized as one of the region's best, finding a spot on the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team.
Cooksley, a First Team All-BIG EAST pick last month, paced the Red Storm with five goals and six assists this season, finishing the campaign with a team-best 16 points. His 16 points were the most by a St. John's player since the 2011 season when Jack Bennett finished with 18, while his six assists tied for fourth in the conference overall.
One of the most electric offensive talents in nation, Cooksley led the BIG EAST and ranked fourth in the nation with 4.47 shots per game.
Of his five goals, a number were destined for the highlight reel, including a 35-yard blast that bent its way into the upper 90 against No. 6 Syracuse on Sept. 4 and a game-winner against No. 11 Butler on Oct. 15 that saw the London native dribble through a number of defenders before finding the back of the net.
