Shaw Earns Spot On BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping St. John's register a series win against Butler to cap a 3-1 week, Josh Shaw has earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Shaw hit safely in all four games and batted .438 (7-for-16) with a pair of multi-hit performances. The freshman registered two multi-RBI games and totaled five RBI, while also scoring three runs and posting a .500 on-base percentage.
The freshman went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored in midweek action against Iona. Shaw then went 1-for-2 with what proved to be the decisive two-run single in the seventh inning of a 2-0 series-opening victory against Butler. The second baseman was 1-for-4 in the second game against the Bulldogs, and went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in the finale.
Shaw, who leads St. John's in both multi-hit games (16) and multi-RBI games (13), ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with a .317 batting average and leads the league with 40 RBI. One of three Red Storm players to start all 45 games, the rookie also ranks tied for seventh in the conference with 32 runs scored.
