BIG EAST Digital Network Releases Fall Schedule

QUEENS, N.Y. - Entering its third year of bringing unparalleled access and coverage to BIG EAST athletics, the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) released its fall broadcast schedule this afternoon.
With the launch of the 2016 Fall BEDN schedule, the league released a new Twitter handle, @BIGEASTdigital, dedicated to the Digital Network. The social media platform will carry highlights, teasers, original programming and news from BIG EAST Digital Network correspondents, complimenting content on BIGEAST.com.
Programming for the 2016-17 season includes 73 women's basketball games, 70 men's and women's soccer matches, plus 15 volleyball, 10 baseball, 10 softball and six lacrosse games and one field hockey contest. BEDN will also cover all 36 BIG EAST Championships, which are presented by Jeep.
Out of those contests, St. John's is very well represented, as women's soccer will have eight of their conference games covered, men's soccer will have seven contests broadcast and volleyball will have a pair matches shown on the streaming platform. In addition to these regular season match ups, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball will have the first round and semifinals of their conference tournaments carried on BEDN, while the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships will be shown live on Fri., Oct. 28, at 11 a.m.
When the BIG EAST launched the Digital Network in 2014-15, the league became the first collegiate conference to be hosted on FOX Sports Go, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. In 2015-16, the league expanded BEDN to include 225 live events, doubling the number from the first year.
FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store. FOX Sports Go's authenticated distribution is more than 90 million homes averaging more than three million streams per month. In 2015, FOX Sports Go became available internationally.
