QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's Athletic Department and Professional Physical Therapy are proud to announce a new partnership recognizing Professional as the official physical therapy provider of the Red Storm. Through this partnership, Professional Physical Therapy will provide a wide range of services to support St. John's athletic training and sports medicine programs.
Professional Physical Therapy is a leading provider of physical therapy and rehabilitation services throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Earlier this year, St. John's announced its partnership with New York-Presbyterian Queens as the Official Hospital and Doctors of St. John's Athletics. Together, Professional and New York-Presbyterian Queens will be providing world-class care to the student-athletes, as well as to the Queens community, where Professional's flagship facility has stood since 1998. Professional is also a patron sponsor at the upcoming New York-Presbyterian Queens gala benefiting orthopedics and honoring St. John's Head Coach Chris Mullin.
"We are committed to providing our student-athletes with top-of-the-line resources that allow them to compete at the highest level of their respective sport," said St. John's Director of Athletics Anton Goff. "Through this new partnership with Professional Physical Therapy, we are confident our student-athletes will receive industry-leading care that complements the tremendous support services already being provided by our sports medicine and strength and conditioning staffs."
In addition to supporting the athletic training needs of St. John's 300-plus student-athletes, the new partnership will also allow Professional Physical Therapy to provide St. John's with educational opportunities such as pre-season screening and injury prevention programs.
"Professional Physical Therapy is excited to partner with St. John's University Athletics and continue to be the leader in physical therapy, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and athletic training services," said Tim Mauro, Partner and Vice President of Clinical Operations at Professional. "We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of clinical expertise and exceptional patient experience, and we are looking forward to expanding our services to the St. John's athletic community."
The Professional Physical Therapy staff will be working with St. John's sports medicine staff, as well as their team physicians, Dr. Jeffrey Rosen and Dr. Justin Classie, providing a wide array of services and specialties benefiting the Red Storm athletes.
