Rastelli named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

This is the senior’s fourth BIG EAST honor this season
QUEENS, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2021) – After recording 21 kills against Xavier on Saturday afternoon, senior right-side hitter Rachele Rastelli has been named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll for the second time this season, the conference announced on Monday.
This marks Rastelli's fourth honor of the season. Last Monday, the Parma, Italy, native was named the BIG EAST's Offensive Player of the Week.
In addition to her performance against Xavier, Rastelli also racked up 13 kills in the Red Storm's match against Butler on Friday night.
The hitter finished the weekend with 4.86 kills per set, good enough for second in the league. She also tallied 10 digs, five blocks, and one service ace.
On the national level, Rastelli is ranked within the top 50 in five different categories. She leads the BIG EAST in kills and is ranked 24th nationally with 4.30 kills per set and fifth with 314 total kills.
Overall this season, Rastelli has recorded double-digit kills in 17 of her 20 appearances, including five matches with more than 20 kills.
