Rastelli Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Senior garners third honor in as many weeks.
QUEENS, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2021) – After notching a match-high 27 kills against DePaul on Saturday evening, Rachele Rastelli has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season, the conference announced on Monday.
This mark's Rastelli's third honor in as many weeks. On Oct. 4, she was named Offensive Player of the Week before earning an honor roll nod the following week.
The Parma, Italy, native tallied 27 kills on a .460 hitting percentage against DePaul to go along with four service aces and four block assists that added up to 33 total points. The day before, she recorded 11 kills, two service aces and three block assists against Marquette.
On the national level, Rastelli is ranked within the top 50 in five different categories. She leads the BIG EAST in kills ranks fifth nationally with 352 total kills. She also sits 25th nationally with 4.35 kills per set.
The senior right-side hitter is making her way up the St. John's leaderboard. This weekend, she passed Kristine Knobel (1995-1999) for seventh place on the program's career kills list.
Overall this season, Rastelli has recorded double-digit kills in 19 of her 22 appearances, including six matches with more than 20 kills.
