Tickets On Sale for St. John’s Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Red Storm to Enshrine Nine Members of the 2021 Class on Saturday, October 23 during the University’s Homecoming Weekend
QUEENS, N.Y. – Tickets are on sale for the 2021 St. John's Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will be held Saturday, October 23, in the D'Angelo Center on the University's Queens campus.
The Hall of Fame celebration begins at 6 p.m. with a reception that includes hors d'oeuvres and open bar (beer and wine) followed by the formal induction ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online through October 22.
This year's class features former student-athletes and coaches who have represented St. John's at the highest levels of their sport. Honorees include 17-year NBA veteran Mark Jackson, baseball standout Ralph Addonizio, men's soccer All-American Kevin Daly, men's basketball star Joe DePre, long-time Track & Field/Cross Country coach Jim Hurt, three-time football All-American Todd Jamison, two-time BIG EAST Women's Golf Champion Harin Lee, women's basketball All-American Shenneika Smith and three-time fencing Olympian Dagmara Wozniak.
Established in 1984-85, the St. John's Athletics Hall of Fame consists of 146 members representing the majority of the Red Storm's current sports teams as well as discontinued programs. In addition to former student-athletes and coaches, numerous administrators and honorary members have been inducted into the Hall for their valued contributions and accomplishments during their time associated with St. John's Athletics.
The Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony is one of many signature events as part of the University's Homecoming Weekend, which runs from Oct. 22 – 24. The weekend begins with Red Storm Tip-Off, an annual celebration to introduce the men's and women's basketball teams, on Friday, October 22 inside Carnesecca Arena. Then on Saturday, October 23, St. John's will honor legendary basketball coach Lou Carnesecca with a statue dedication ceremony at 5:15 p.m. in the Carnesecca Arena lobby. The lineup of athletic events on Saturday also includes an all-sports alumni reunion at 4 p.m., a women's volleyball match versus Xavier at 3 p.m. and a men's soccer match against Marquette at 5 p.m. A complete schedule of events is available at www.StJohns.edu/Homecoming.
Please be aware of the University's vaccination and mask policy. The University requires that all persons visiting and working on campus be fully vaccinated with either the Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Regardless of vaccination status, St. John's University requires that all attendees wear masks inside campus buildings. Fully vaccinated persons may choose to remove their masks only when outdoors. Please be prepared to provide a valid photo ID and proof of vaccination.
