Ryan Foley Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper helped the Red Storm record back-to-back draws last week
QUEENS, N.Y. (Oct. 10, 2022) – After helping the St. John's men's soccer team register consecutive crucial results last week, redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Foley has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced this afternoon by the conference office.
Making just his second and third career starts, the Malverne, N.Y., native allowed only one goal and compiled nine saves across 180 minutes of play, helping the Red Storm record back-to-back draws against No. 12 Xavier and Creighton.
On Wednesday night against the 12th-ranked Musketeers, Foley stopped all six shots on goal that he faced, including five in the first half alone, and helped neutralize seven corner kicks.
Against the Bluejays on Saturday night in Omaha, Foley logged three saves. The only Creighton goal Foley conceded came in the 89th minute on a penalty kick.
Foley and the Red Storm will return to action this Wednesday at Belson Stadium, hosting DePaul for a 7 p.m. kick-off on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
