Zenden Hart Earns Third BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Honor

QUEENS, N.Y. – For the third time this season, the BIG EAST has named Zenden Hart its Freshman of the Week. The league announced the accolade on Monday afternoon.

Hart, a product of Booker Bay, Australia, was crucial to the Red Storm securing a make-or-break result against Connecticut on Saturday night at Belson Stadium. The goalkeeper made four saves, including two in the final 10 minutes, in a scoreless draw with the Huskies.

The clean sheet marked the second of the season for Hart, who was also named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Sept. 19 and Oct. 17 after helping the Red Storm secure results against Georgetown and Providence, respectively.

On the season, Hart has compiled a 0.85 goals against average and a .818 save percentage in 10 starts, both of which rank in the top five of the BIG EAST.

The Red Storm will close its regular season on Wednesday night in Milwaukee against Marquette. The Johnnies will need a win coupled with a UConn loss or draw against Georgetown to secure the sixth and final spot in the BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship.
