Hart Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

Hart led Red Storm in its take down of reigning BIG EAST Champ Georgetown in conference opener
QUEENS, N.Y. – After leading the Red Storm to a 3-1 win in its BIG EAST opener against Georgetown on Friday night, Zenden Hart was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Hart, who has started five of the Red Storm's seven matches between the pipes this season, picked up his second win of the campaign against the Hoyas on Friday night. He stopped three of the four shots on target he faced, only allowing a goal off an indirect free kick in the box.

On the year, Hart has not surrendered multiple goals in any one match and carries a 0.80 goals against average, good enough for third in the BIG EAST. His .778 save percentage ranks fifth in the league.
 St. John's, the only BIG EAST team to win a league game so far, will return to action on Friday night against Villanova at Belson Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network, available on FloFC.
