Fleuriau Chateau Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

Fleuriau Chateau finished the year with 14 goals and one assist
QUEENS, N.Y. – Following a stellar 2023 campaign, St. John's forward Nicolas Fleuriau Chateau earned a spot on the Academic All-District Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, on Tuesday.
Fleuriau Chateau also had a stellar year in the classroom, working towards a degree in criminal justice. The Johnnies' leading scorer has boasted a 3.8 cumulative GPA during his time with the Red Storm.
The All-BIG EAST First Team selection went on an improbable run in his 17 appearances this season, logging 14 goals and one assist for 29 points. The redshirt junior finished the year in a four-way tie for fifth on St. John's single-season goals leaderboard, tying Medufia Kulego (1996), Shalrie Joseph (2000) and Simone Salinno (2003) with 14 on the year.
The Ottawa, Ontario native finished the regular season in a five-way deadlock for the NCAA Division I lead in goals. He also ranked inside the Division I top five for points, logging 29 in total and ranking fourth nationally at the regular season's end.
Fleuriau Chateau picked up three weekly honors, including an Offensive Player of the Week accolade following his final brace of the year in the team's season finale against Creighton (Oct. 28). The Canadian striker also logged two-goal outings against Rutgers (Aug. 28) and Columbia (Oct. 3).
