AJ Storr Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week; Dylan Addae-Wusu Selected to Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's freshman guard AJ Storr garnered his third BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor while teammate Dylan Addae-Wusu was named to the conference's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Storr averaged 11.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in two starts against DePaul and No. 18/19 Creighton. The 6-foot-6 wing scored 14 points on Tuesday in a double-overtime win at DePaul. He also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists versus the Blue Demons. Then on Saturday, the Rockford, Ill., native tallied nine points and four rebounds versus the nationally-ranked Bluejays at Carnesecca Arena.

Storr currently leads the BIG EAST in 3-point field goal percentage, hitting 42.3 percent of his attempts from distance (33-78 3FG) through 28 games. The Johnnies' guard has also been a steady presence since cracking the starting lineup, averaging 11.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest in 12 starts this year.

He also set a career-high with 11 rebounds to go with four steals versus the Blue Demons. The 6-foot-4 guard from the Bronx added seven points, five assists and five rebounds while matching a career-high with five steals against the Bluejays on Saturday in Queens.

Addae-Wusu moved into third on the BIG EAST's steals chart averaging 1.9 per game in conference play, sitting just behind teammate Posh Alexander with 2.0 steals per contest.

The Johnnies return to action on Wednesday, taking on Georgetown inside Capital One Arena. CBS Sports Network will carry the national broadcast with tip-off slated for 9 p.m.
