Tickets On Sale for St. John’s Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Red Storm to Enshrine Eight Members of the 2023 Class on Saturday, October 28, during the University’s Homecoming Weekend
QUEENS, N.Y. – Tickets are on sale for the 2023 St. John's Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will be held Saturday, October 28, inside the D'Angelo Center on the University's Queens campus.
The Hall of Fame celebration begins at 6 p.m. with a reception that includes hors d'oeuvres and open bar (beer and wine) followed by the formal induction ceremony at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and are available to purchase online only through October 27.
The 2023 Athletics Hall of Fame class includes former student-athletes who achieved excellence in their sport while representing St. John's on the national and international levels. This year's cohort includes baseball All-American and Major League Baseball (MLB) first round selection Craig Hansen, men's basketball standouts Gus Alfieri, Greg "Boo" Harvey and Bernard Rencher, women's basketball's all-time leading scorer Aliyyah Handford, BIG EAST Softball Player of the Year Erin Burner, men's soccer All-American Ben Hickey, women's soccer All-American Diana Poulin.
Established in 1984-85, the St. John's Athletics Hall of Fame consists of more than 170 members representing the majority of the Red Storm's current sports teams as well as discontinued programs. In addition to former student-athletes and coaches, numerous administrators and honorary members have been inducted into the Hall for their valued contributions and accomplishments during their time associated with St. John's Athletics.
The Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony is one of the many signature events that will make up the University's Homecoming Weekend, which runs from October 26 - 29 on the Queens campus.
St. John's Homecoming Weekend officially begins on Thursday, October 26 with the women's soccer team's match versus DePaul at Belson Stadium at 7 p.m. On Friday, October 27, the women's volleyball team will host Xavier inside Carnesecca Arena at 7 p.m. Prior to the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 28, the men's soccer team will take on Creighton in a 2 p.m. match at Belson Stadium, which is followed by a women's volleyball match versus Butler at 5 p.m. inside Carnesecca Arena.
An Alumni and Community Mass is scheduled for Sunday, October 29 at 11 a.m. The University will then host Homecoming Fest from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. between DaSilva Memorial Field and Taffner Fieldhouse prior to the men's basketball team's exhibition with Pace at 4:30 p.m. at Carnesecca Arena.
