Registration for Joe Tartamella’s Summer Basketball Camps Open Now

St. John’s Women’s Basketball Head Coach to host camps at St. John’s and in Rockville Centre
QUEENS, N.Y.- Registration for St. John's Head Coach Joe Tartamella's summer basketball camps is now open.
The 2023 BIG EAST Coach of the Year will host multiple instructional basketball camps this summer including a four-day camp on-campus at St. John's and a pair of two-day camps in Rockville Centre.
The four-day camp provides a fun and educational atmosphere and will be held from July 29-Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at Carnesecca Arena and Taffner Field House, the on-campus arena and practice facility of St. John's basketball. The camp is open to girls entering grades 1-8 and boys entering grades 1-5. Tuition is $300 with taxes and fees included. To register click here.
Tartamella will also host a pair of two-day camps that will take place at St. Agnes Church in Rockville Centre on Long Island. The first one on Aug. 5-6 from 9-1 p.m. is open to girls entering grades 3-5. To sign up for the first session, click here. The latter camp in Rockville Centre will be held on Aug. 7-8 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and is open to girls entering grades 6-8. The cost of both camps is $175 with taxes and fees included. The winningest coach in St. John's Women's Basketball history, Tartamella in his 11 completed seasons has led the Red Storm to four NCAA Tournaments, seven postseason appearances, eight winning seasons and eight top-five finishes in the BIG EAST Conference. St. John's currently sits top-3 in the league with an 8-4 conference record and a 14-10 mark in 2023-24 under his direction.
After leading one of the best turnarounds in all of NCAA Division I and taking the Johnnies to the Big Dance last season, Tartamella received well deserved recognition and was named BIG EAST Coach of the Year and one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith National Coach of the Year award.
