Brooke Moore and Sa’Mya Wyatt Earn All-Met Honors

Moore was selected to All-Met Second Team, Wyatt named to All-Met Third Team
QUEENS, N.Y. – Two St. John's women's basketball standouts earned All-Met recognition, it was announced Tuesday by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA). Brooke Moore secured a spot on the All-Met Second Team, while Sa'Mya Wyatt was named to the All-Met Third Team.
Under 14th-year Head Coach Joe Tartamella, 17 St. John's players have now collected All-Met honors. The Red Storm has also produced at least one All-Met selection in each of the last nine seasons dating back to 2016-17.
Moore becomes the 10th player in program history to land on the All-Met Second Team. She also garnered All-BIG EAST Second Team honors at the conclusion of the regular season, her first conference accolade with St. John's. After spending two seasons as a reserve at Liberty, the 6-foot guard made an immediate impact in Queens, averaging 11.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. She shot 50.7% (142-280) from the field and 76.2% (93-122) from the free-throw line while leading the Red Storm to a 22-win campaign.
The Kennesaw, Ga., native reached double figures in 22 of her 33 games, recorded the first three double-doubles of her career and surpassed the 20-point mark five times. She also pulled down at least 10 rebounds in four contests.
One of Moore's standout performances came on Nov. 11, when she scored a career-high 25 points in a 77-75 neutral site win over Georgia Tech to open the Cayman Islands Classic. She shot 6-of-10 from the floor, 3-of-6 from three-point range and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line while adding three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.
Moore earned multiple conference honors throughout the season, including BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 1 and three BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selections. She was one of three St. John's players recognized by the league during the 2025-26 campaign.
Wyatt, a 2026 All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention selection and the 2024 ASUN Freshman of the Year, becomes the fifth player in program history to earn All-Met Third Team honors. The sophomore started all 33 games and provided a consistent presence in the post, averaging 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
The Powder Springs, Ga., native scored in double figures 18 times and recorded four 20-point performances. She posted a career-high 13 rebounds against Georgetown on Jan. 13 and tallied a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards against Xavier in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament on March 6.
Wyatt finished narrowly behind Moore for the team lead in field goal percentage, shooting an efficient 50.7% from the floor. Her strong play earned three BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selections, including a nod on Feb. 16 after averaging 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists during a 1-1 week highlighted by a 58-47 victory over Butler.
One of Wyatt's top performances came on Jan. 17, when she poured in a career-high 28 points in a 66-64 road win over Xavier. She went 10-of-15 from the field and was perfect from both three-point range (2-of-2) and the free-throw line (6-of-6) while adding six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.
Moore and Wyatt will be honored at the 93rd Annual Haggerty All-Met Dinner hosted by the MBWA on Thursday in Tarrytown, N.Y. The event will be livestreamed for friends and family here.
