The redshirt freshman attackman tallied six points in the Red Storm’s win over Queens on Wednesday
QUEENS, N.Y. – Redshirt freshman attackman Adrian Nowak was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
Nowak set a new season-best with five goals and tallied his first-career assist in the Red Storm's 11-8 win over Queens on Wednesday. The six points match Brian Kelly's six points against Hofstra for the most by a Red Storm player in a game this season. Nowak also became the first freshman to record a four-goal outing since Kelly did it against Fairfield on March 22, 2022.
The Wantagh, N.Y., native is now up to nine goals on the season, third most on the team behind Kelly (12) and Bobby Seel (11).
The redshirt freshman previously tallied a hat trick in the team's season opener against NJIT on Feb. 3.
This is the second Weekly Honor Roll nod for the Red Storm this season. Kelly was given the honor on Feb. 19, 2024, after totaling 10 points in two games against Hofstra and Delaware.
The Johnnies will be back in action on Saturday against Binghamton for the first of four home games at Belson Stadium. Faceoff is set for noon on ESPN+.
