Caiden Vlasimsky Shines at 2025 World Lacrosse European Championships

Former Red Storm lacrosse player scored 20 goals in seven games for the Czech Republic
WROCLAW, Poland– Recent St. John's lacrosse graduate Caiden Vlasimsky shined at the 2025 European Men's Lacrosse Championships in Wroclaw, Poland this month.Â

Vlasimsky was one of the tournament's top goal scorers leading Czech Republic to a bid into the 2027 World Lacrosse Championships and was named to the All-Europe Team for the tournament. Fellow St. John's lacrosse alumnus Pat Smyth was also named to the All-Europe Team helping guide IrelandÂ

The attackman ranked seventh in the tournament with 20 goals over seven contests and 27 points overall, which ranked 11th best amongst all players.Â

In the tournament opener, the Dallas, Texas native fired in six goals in the win over the hosts Poland on July 9. In the playoff round, Vlasimsky came up clutch netting the overtime winner to lift Czech Republic past Germany, 9-8, to punch to nation's ticket to the 2027 World Lacrosse Championships in Japan.Â

Fellow St. John's lacrosse alumnus Pat Smyth also showed out at the event guiding Ireland to a fourth place finish and earned All-Europe recognition.Â

Current players Cam Konradi (Latvia) and Drew Lindsay (Scotland) also represented the Red Storm at the European Championships.Â
