Red Storm student-athletes earned a 3.51 cumulative GPA during the 2023-24 school year
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's Athletic Department wrapped up a successful year in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year.
Across the 17 varsity athletic programs, Red Storm student-athletes turned in a cumulative GPA of 3.51. Nearly 90 percent posted a 3.0 GPA or higher and 56.5 percent earned a 3.5 or better. Nine teams recorded a mark of 3.5 or higher across both semesters and 16 tallied a 3.0 or better, led by the women's golf program, which logged a 3.85 cumulative GPA.
There were 47 Johnnies that were perfect in their studies tallying a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2024 term. Four student-athletes- Angelica Kusnowo (Women's Golf), Hannah Mearns (Softball), Ariana Robinson (Volleyball) and Eleonora Tosi (Volleyball) are outgoing members of the St. John's President's Society, the University's academic highest honor. Malia Jones (Track & Field) and Giorgia Walther (Volleyball) are set to be the incoming members of the President's Society.
