St. John’s Hosts Fourth Annual Johnnies Golf Classic

The Red Storm raised more than $90,000 to support its 17 Division I programs on and off the court
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's Athletics hosted its fourth annual Johnnies Golf Classic on Monday, raising more than $90,000 in support of all 17 intercollegiate sports programs both on and off the court.
Red Storm coaches and staff were joined by alumni and supporters of the university for breakfast, a day on the links at The Woodside Club in Syosset, N.Y., before a cocktail hour and dinner reception in the Grand Ballroom.
Attendees were welcomed by evening emcee Denise Gonzalez before interim Director of Athletics John Diffley and St. John's University President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P., offered their appreciation and thanks to those in attendance for their continued support of St. John's Athletics.
In total, the event helped raise money to support the academic and athletic success of all 17 St. John's athletic programs. Donations are still being accepted on the Red & White Club website.
