St. John’s Unveils Lou Carnesecca Collection

The one-of-a-kind collection will be available for purchase to the general public beginning on Jan. 4 ahead of the team’s BIG EAST contest against Butler
QUEENS, N.Y. – Ahead of its "Lou Carnesecca Day" men's basketball game against Butler, the St. John's Athletic Department unveiled its Lou Carnesecca Collection in collaboration with cllct, the Official Collectibles Partner of Red Storm Athletics, in honor of St. John's winningest head coach and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer.
The Carnesecca Collection was designed to honor legendary coach Lou Carnesecca, one of college basketball's most iconic figures. The tiered collectibles series highlights his storied career and lasting impact on the sport. The collection features collaborations with fellow Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and current St. John's head coach Rick Pitino, who wore a replica sweater as a tribute to Carnesecca on Dec. 7, 2024, during the Red Storm's home contest versus Kansas State.
Pre-sale initiatives for season ticket holders and certain tiered Red & White Club members are available at noon today. All St. John's fans can begin purchasing and bidding on premier collectible items on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m., by clicking here.
The limited-edition collection includes Lou Carnesecca and Rick Pitino trading cards, sweater cards with textured holofoil, a one-of-one sweater auto booklet with autographs from Carnesecca and Pitino, as well as a one-of-one Carnesecca refractor card.
Bidding for the autographed sweater auto booklet card featuring both Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers will start at $500, beginning on Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. and closing on Jan. 11 at 8:15 p.m.
The Red Storm will return to action in 2025 as it welcomes Butler for a Jan. 4 battle inside Carnesecca Arena. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. on FS1.
