St. John’s Ranked No. 10 in Associated Press Poll and No. 9 in USA Today Coaches’ Poll

The Red Storm men’s basketball team earns national ranking for the fifth-straight week marking the first time since 2014-15
QUEENS, N.Y. – For the fifth consecutive week, the St. John's men's basketball program is ranked in the national polls. The Red Storm checked in at No. 10 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches' poll on Monday.
The Johnnies have now been ranked for five-straight weeks dating back to Jan. 20, matching the program's longest streak since the 2014-15 season when it was ranked five consecutive times from Dec. 8, 2014 to Jan. 5, 2015. St. John's been featured in the AP poll seven times this season, the program's highest total since St. John's 2000 BIG EAST Tournament Championship team, which was included in the top-25 seven times.
In the Coaches' poll, the Johnnies moved back just one spot after a 1-1 week and remain in the top-10 for the third straight week, dating back to Feb. 3.
The Red Storm holds a 22-4 overall record, its highest win total since the 1999-2000 season and a 13-2 mark in BIG EAST play with a two-game lead in the conference standings. On Sunday, the Johnnies took down No. 24/21 Creighton, 79-73, for their third top-25 win in the last 12 days.
St. John's will head to DePaul on Wednesday for a 9 p.m. ET contest at Wintrust Arena on FS1.
