QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's men's basketball Head Coach Rick Pitino will appear on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show today at 12:20 p.m.
Pitino will virtually join the mid-day talk show with former NFL All-Pro punter and popular media personality McAfee to discuss the Johnnies' BIG EAST Championship and preview this week's NCAA Tournament. The interview can be viewed live on ESPN or on WatchESPN.com.
Pitino, the BIG EAST Coach of the Year, became the conference's first-ever coach to win a title at two different schools and has guided St. John's to a 30-win season for just the third time ever. With last night's NCAA Tournament selection, the Hall of Famer became the first coach in NCAA Division I Men's Basketball history to lead six different schools to NCAA Tournament. The Red Storm hold a 30-4 overall record and went 18-2 in BIG EAST competition, capturing both the conference's regular season and tournament titles.
St. John's earned a No. 2 seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and will open the Big Dance on Thursday against No. 15 Omaha at 9:45 p.m. on CBS in Providence at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
