Seven Red Storm programs welcomed over 300 kids on Wednesday
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's Athletic Department welcomed more than 300 children to campus on Wednesday, for its annual event with Community Mayors Inc, presented by Hospital for Special Surgery.
The children arrived on campus in the morning and joined Red Storm student-athletes from the men's basketball, women's basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, baseball, lacrosse and volleyball programs for a day of games on the field at Belson Stadium, the diamond at Jack Kaiser Stadium and on the courts inside Taffner Field House.
Community Mayors, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501-C-3 organization that has been providing recreational therapy for children with special needs in the New York metro area for nearly 70 years. Dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with disabilities, the organization serves more than 50,000 children each year.
