Women’s Tennis to Kick Off Fall Campaign This Weekend at the Hofstra Invitational

The Red Storm will compete over three days in Hempstead, N.Y.

QUEENS, N.Y. — The St. John's women's tennis team will begin its fall slate this weekend at the Hofstra Invitational

The Red Storm will compete on Sept. 19-21 in Hampstead, N.Y. against student-athletes from Hofstra, Fordham, LIU and Stony Brook.

Head Coach Lauren Leo, entering her 11th season at the helm of St. John's, returns six athletes from last year's squad including captains, Alicia Gomez and Charlotta Buss, both coming off impressive seasons this past spring. Leo has also brought on two new athletes including, Abi Redman and Nao Kbjima.

During the spring season, the Red Storm won 14 matches and advanced to the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals for the tenth consecutive tournament under Coach Leo.
Following this weekend's action in Hempstead, the Johnnies will continue their fall slate on Oct. 3-5 at the Fordham Invitational in the Bronx.
