Episode Eight of the “Red Storm Report” Debuts Tonight on MSGSN

St. John’s Basketball Weekly Show Premieres at 5:30 p.m. and Re-airs at 9 p.m. on Friday
QUEENS, N.Y. – This week's edition of the "Red Storm Report" featuring the St. John's men's and women's basketball programs will premiere tonight at 5:30 p.m. on MSG Sports Network. The eighth episode will re-air at 9 p.m. on Friday.
On Saturday, the newest edition of "Red Storm Report" will replay at 1:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. ahead of the men's basketball team's pivotal home contest against RV/RV Villanova at 8 p.m. on FOX. On Sunday, the women's basketball team will take to the floor at The World's Most Famous Arena to face No. 1/1 UConn on at 7:30 p.m. on TNT.
Red Storm Report, hosted by Brandon Tierney, provides an all-access behind the scenes look at the Red Storm men's and women's basketball programs. Each episode will be uploaded to RedStormSports.com and select individual segments will be available on YouTube and St. John's Athletics social media platforms.
In this week's episode, Tierney sits down with Head Coach Rick Pitino to discuss Wednesday's setback at No. 6/6 Connecticut and preparing for the third place Wildcats on Saturday. The show also takes a deep dive into the Red Storm's outstanding defense, that ranks 15th nationally in efficiency according to KenPom.
The men's basketball player profile features sophomore returnee Ruben Prey. The big man has made 28 appearances and one start during the 2025-26 campaign. The Lisbon, Portugal native is shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 50 percent from 3-point land this season.
The women's basketball feature highlights senior forward Kylie Lavelle. In her second year in Queens, the 6-foot-2 post player has been effective on both ends of the floor. Last season, the Moosic, Pa., native ranked 12th in the BIG EAST and led the team in blocked shots.
