Serafinko and Limbani honored for their performances during opening week
NEW YORK — After a 4-1 weekend at the Charleston Invitational, Ana Serafinko and Natasha Limbani were each named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
Serafinko picked up where she left off last season in her 2026 debut against Charleston Southern, throwing a complete game while striking out 11 to shut out the Buccaneers.
In day two of competition in the Palmetto State, the reigning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year tallied a pair of hits, including the game-winning RBI in the 10th inning to lift the Red Storm over Central Michigan, 7-6. In the circle, the senior threw 167 pitches and struck out an early season-high 13 batters in nine innings of work to down the Chippewas.
Serafinko's most recent honor roll selection came back on March 25, 2025. This is the third selection of her career.
Limbani lifted St. John's over Siena, 8-7, behind a walk-off two-run homer to secure the victory in her first action as a member of the Red Storm. In the season-opener, the Mississauga, Ontario, native finished with a double, a home run and two runs scored.
Against Charleston, Limbani went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a walk while spearheading a triple play on an impressive one-handed snag in the sixth inning. Overall, the junior went 7-for-16 with three RBI and four runs scored.
