Dr. Dave Masur Announces 2026 Men’s Soccer Schedule

17-match slate features six contests against teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament
QUEENS, N.Y.– St. John's Men's Soccer Head Coach Dr. Dave Masur announced the program's loaded 2026 schedule on Wednesday.
The 17-match slate features six teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament and four that finished in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25. The Red Storm is coming off a 9-6-4 overall record that culminated with its 23rd NCAA Tournament appearance and went 1-0-2 against teams ranked inside the top-20 in the regular season in 2025.

All home games are slated to begin at 7 p.m. Additional game times, promotions and broadcast destinations will be released at a later date. All match times are subject to change.
The Red Storm will host a pair of exhibition matches against in-state opponents in Queens. St. John's will take on Binghamton on Aug. 10 and Stony Brook on Aug. 14. Exhibition matches will be free for all fans.
The Johnnies will open the 2026 regular season on the road for the sixth consecutive season at Loyola Maryland on Aug. 20. The two sides will face off for the eighth time at 6 p.m. from Ridley Field in Baltimore.
Coach Masur's group will remain on the road when it heads to New Hampshire on Aug. 27. In last year's meeting in Queens, the Red Storm dominated the Wildcats, 5-0, behind the program's first four-goal outing in 43 years from Guilherme Gomes.
As the month turns to September, the Johnnies will host their home opener against local foe Hofstra. The two storied programs separated by just 10 miles will square off on Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. The Pride are coming off a run to the NCAA Tournament Third Round victory, which included a victory over the defending National Champions Vermont.
On Sept. 6, the Red Storm will host a rematch of the 1996 National Championship game welcoming Florida International on the 30-year anniversary of St. John's national title. Masur led the Johnnies to a 4-1 win on Dec. 15, 1996, marking the first of four victories in the last seven meetings against the Panthers.
Three days later, the Red Storm will travel to Central New York for a 6:30 p.m. tilt at Syracuse. The Red Storm and Orange will battle on the pitch for the 36th time with the Johnnies pacing the all-time series, 20-9-6. The last meeting came during the 2019 NCAA Tournament when No. 16 St. John's moved past Syracuse, 2-1, on Nov. 24.
The Johnnies will return to Queens on Sept. 13 for a 7 p.m. contest with nearby Fordham. The Rams are led by Head Coach Carlo Acquista, who played for the Red Storm from 1996-99. St. John's holds a 6-1-1 mark over its last eight meetings against Fordham.
The Red Storm will open BIG EAST play on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. against Villanova. In the last meeting between the conference foes in Queens, Masur picked up his 400th career victory at St. John's.
St. John's will square off with UNC Wilmington on Sept. 22 in North Carolina. It will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The Johnnies will jump back into BIG EAST play on Sept. 26 when they host UConn at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium. The following weekend, St. John's will make its first trip to Omaha since 2023 to battle Creighton on Oct. 2
Four days later, the squad will take on Monmouth in its final non-conference home game. The Red Storm moved past the Hawks in last year's meeting on Oct. 21, 2025, 1-0.
On Oct. 10, St. John's will be welcome the reigning league division champions in Georgetown. During the Hoyas last visit to Queens in 2024, the Red Storm collected a 2-0 victory to clinch a share of the BIG EAST East Division Championship on Nov. 2.
The Red Storm will begin a three-match road swing in the Windy City when it meets DePaul on Friday, Oct. 16. St. John's holds a 12-3-4 series lead over the Blue Demons and has captured four straight wins.
The non-conference regular season finale will feature the two active winningest coaches in NCAA Division I Men's Soccer as St. John's squares off with Maryland on Oct. 20. The matchup will feature two of the most decorated coaches in college soccer Masur (468) and Terrapins' Head Coach Sasho Cirovski (477) have combined for 945 career wins, 52 NCAA Division I Tournament appearances, 13 College Cups and four national titles.
The road stint will conclude with a local conference battle when the Red Storm head to the Garden State to take on Seton Hall on Oct. 24. The Johnnies have won three of their last four meetings against the Pirates.
On Halloween night, the Red Storm will host its final home contest of the 2026 against Marquette. The meeting will mark the first between the two BIG EAST foes in Queens in five years, when the Red Storm cruised past Golden Eagles, 4-0.
