As a Redshirt Junior (Fall 2022)
Appeared in 11 games, making 10 starts for the Johnnies … logged 90 minutes of work in five contests … made his season debut against defending BIG EAST Champion Georgetown, playing just 25 minutes … netted an 18th-minute goal in the Red Storm’s 2-1 victory over Princeton (Sept. 27) … registered a season-best three shots at Seton Hall (Oct. 1) … opened the scoring for the Red Storm against Creighton (Oct. 8), putting a shot behind the Bluejays’ goalkeeper in the 38th minute … Produced another one-goal performance against DePaul (Oct. 12), finding the back of the net in the 29th minute.
As a Senior (Fall 2021)
Played in all 20 matches, making 16 starts… scored three goals and dished out four assists for 10 points, the third highest total on the team… helped the Red Storm reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament, finish third in the BIG EAST and turn in a record of 11-6-3… assisted on the Johnnies’ goal against eventual national champion Clemson (Aug. 26)… scored twice in a 3-2 win over Boston University (Sept. 10)… picked up an assist in the victory over Creighton (Sept. 24)… tallied a goal and two assists against Marquette (Oct. 23).
As a Junior (Spring 2021)
Third Team All-BIG EAST… tallied two goals and two assists in nine appearances, all of which were starts… scored both of his goals on penalty kicks… finished third on the team in goals (2) and points (6), tied for second in assists (2)… named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on March 22.. played 78 minutes or more in all nine of his appearances… netted his first goal of the season in the Red Storm’s 4-2 win over Stony Brook at Belson Stadium (Feb. 23)… assisted on an insurance goal in the team’s 2-0 victory against UConn in Queens (March 3)… recorded an assist and a season-high three shots against Seton Hall (March 17)… scored the game-winner in his final appearance of the season against UConn (March 20).

Einar Tunheim Lye… son of Signe Tunheim and Odd Einar Lye… has two siblings, Stina and Goran… lists his first youth coach as the most influential person in his athletic career and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his favorite athlete… chose St. John’s for the experience of playing at an historic program… plans to get a degree in either business or economics.
