Being a student-athlete at St. John's represents more than just commitment to a sport. With over 2,500 service hours performed, dedication also means serving the needy through faith and action.
Every September, the St. John's men's and women's basketball programs host Dribble for the Cure, an event that raised more than $100,000 for the Pediatric Cancer Research Fund in 2015. The St. John's baseball team takes time out of its busy schedule every year to working with League of YES, which provides the opportunity for children with special needs to play baseball. The St. John's softball team undertakes a number of community service efforts, including the Annual Red Storm 5K Run/Walk. |
