Opening Statement…
“To the Johnnies faithful, thank you for coming out. We had a lot of fans in there. There was a good energy in the building, and I thought it helped our guys. We fought tooth-and-nail. We had windows of opportunity to win the game, and we did not take advantage of it. The second-chance points were big in this game. Creighton is a very good basketball team, and we know that. They have some guys that made some big plays for them, [Arthur] Kaluma, especially. We came up short.”
On the missed opportunities in the second half…
“I thought we got anxious. I think we got away from the things we did to get ourselves back in it. We tried to make the home run play when all we probably needed to do was make three or four more passes. I thought we had Creighton on their heels, and we didn’t take advantage of it.”
