POSTGAME QUOTES: St. John’s Women’s Basketball at Seton Hall
St. John’s Head Coach Joe Tartamella speaks to the media after the Red Storm’s loss at Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon, 57-48
St. John’s Head Coach Joe Tartamella
On today’s game …
“For us, we played really well for three quarters. I mean, we just weren't able to finish similar to the DePaul game. I thought we did a really good job in execution. We just struggle offensively… I thought we competed. I thought we played really well in spurts and then we just didn't have enough at the end. Unfortunately, that's been, been the story in a few of these games.”
On the offensive struggles in today’s contest…
“I think both teams struggled to score. I think they struggled to score too. We gave them offensive boards. I thought we had good shots. The ones that were good, we missed. I thought we forced a few, obviously…It's not easy. They're playing well as a group on the other side. So, you've got to be really good to win on the road. We gave away too many opportunities where we had good looks and we didn't manufacture enough from the line.”
On Lashae Dwyer’s performance…
“She had good energy, but we're still trying to figure out ways to get her going at times. I think we'd like to see her shoot a little more, but she played she played hard.”
