In his final year at Kansas, Huey practiced with the scout team and became the first manager in the Bill Self Era to suit up for a game. On Feb. 21, 2015 before a capacity crowd at Allen Fieldhouse, Huey played the final 35 seconds of an 81-72 victory over TCU.
A 2014 graduate of Kansas, Huey earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business. Huey received a master’s degree in sport management from St. John’s in 2018.
