Jordan Sears enters his first season as a graduate assistant with the Red Storm men’s basketball program in 2018-19.
Sears recently graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he excelled on the hardwood for Head Coach Joe Reilly. During Sears’ tenure with the Cardinals, Wesleyan won 78 games, good enough for the most successful four-year stretch in program history. Sears helped Wesleyan reach three NCAA Division III Tournaments during his time in Middletown, including a second round appearance in 2017-18 that capped a 22-7 season for the Cardinals. A senior captain during that successful 2017-18 campaign, Sears garnered New England Small School Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors after ranking 33rd nationally in blocked shots per game (1.93) and anchoring Wesleyan to Division III’s second-best field goal percentage defense (37.2%).
A two-year member of Wesleyan’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Sears graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University in 2018. The Plainfield, N.J., native is currently pursuing a master’s in sport management from St. John’s.
