2020-21
Appeared in seven games as a reserve before deciding taking a leave of absence from the program in January due to COVID-19 concerns… graduated with honors after the first semester and entered the transfer portal… averaged 0.7 points and 0.4 rebounds in 4.6 minutes per game… scored two points in seven minutes of action against Stony Brook (Dec. 6)… hit a 3-pointer in his final Red Storm appearance against Creighton (Dec. 17).
2019-20
Played in all 32 games, three of which were starts… one of five players to suit up in all 32 games… averaged 4.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per contest… reached double figures twice… the Red Storm went 8-0 in games where Caraher scored eight or more points, three of which came during BIG EAST play… shot 40.3 percent from the floor, 25.0 percent from three and 78.1 percent from the charity stripe… tallied a 1.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio… posted 12 points and seven boards in the Red Storm’s season opener against Mercer (Nov. 6)… scored a season-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including a 3-for-5 effort from three, to help St. John’s erase a second-half deficit against UMass (Nov. 24)… scored eight points in the Red Storm’s win over DePaul (Jan. 11)… scored nine points of 4-of-6 shooting in the victory over Creighton (March 1)… tallied eight points, four boards and three assists in the regular season finale against Marquette (March 7).

Southland Conference Freshman of the Year … Third Team All-Southland honoree … played and started in 29 games, averaging a team-best 16.2 points to go along with 7.2 rebounds per outing … finished fifth in the Southland Conference in scoring and seventh in rebounding … ranked 12th among NCAA Division I freshmen in scoring … shot 45.5 percent from the floor, including a 36.4 percent conversion rate from three-point range … sank 73.6 percent of his tries from the charity stripe … also averaged 1.9 assists per game … scored in double figures 23 times with 10 20-point performances and two 30-point showings … averaged 18.1 points per game during Southland Conference play, the fourth-highest average in the league … also finished fifth in the conference with 7.6 boards per game during league action.
