Brian Walsh is in his first season as the Director of Soccer Operations for the St. John's men's soccer program.
Prior to joining the Red Storm, Walsh worked with the New York Red Bulls Academy within its Training Programs segment. Walsh has also held numerous coaching positions, including assistant coach at Mercy College, head coach for both the junior varsity and modified boy's programs at Valhalla High School, and Director of Coaching at Rivertown United Soccer Club.
An Academic All-Conference honoree, Walsh was a four-year starter for the Mercy men's soccer team and helped the squad win the 2004 New York Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament title.
Walsh graduated from Mercy in 2006 with a degree in International Business and earned his MBA from his alma mater in 2008.
A native of Dublin, Ireland, Walsh has an NSCAA Premier Diploma and a Football Association of Ireland (FIA) coaching certificate.
