As a Redshirt Junior (Fall 2022)
Appeared in two games off the bench … registered one shot in nine minutes of work against Lehigh (Sept. 2) … logged 11 minutes off the bench against Villanova (Sept. 23).
As a Redshirt Sophomore (Fall 2021)
Appeared in two matches as a reserve… played four minutes against Albany (Aug. 30) before logging 13 minutes in a 3-2 overtime win against Boston University (Sept. 10).
As a Redshirt Freshman (Spring 2021)
Played in seven matches and made six starts during the abbreviated spring campaign… made his collegiate debut, started and logged 63 minutes at Seton Hall (Feb. 27)… took his first shot and played 36 minutes in the team’s 2-0 win over UConn (March 3)… logged a season-high 78 minutes against Villanova (March 6)… started, took a shot and registered 45 minutes of action in the Red Storm’s win at No. 13 Providence (March 10)… played 46 minutes in the season finale against Georgetown (April 10).
As a Freshman (2019)
A redshirt season… did not see game action.
Before St. John’s
Named the Gatorade New Jersey Boys Soccer Player of the Year… scored 84 goals during his high school career… earned United Soccer Coaches All-America status after finding the back of the net 30 times and dishing out 15 assists as a senior, leading Morris Knolls to its first sectional championship since 1969… a two-year team captain… played on the club circuit for STA Soccer.
Personal
Tommaso Scalici… son of Fran and Andre… has two older brothers, Matthew and Sal… member of the National Honor Society and German Honor Society in high school… lists his dad as the most influential person in his athletic career and Mohamed Salah as his favorite athlete… chose St. John’s for its location and competition level… plans to major in finance and wants to be a financial advisor after graduation.
