Veronica Mullen is in her eighth year as the director of basketball operations for the St. John's women's basketball team. Her duties include overseeing the budget, managing team travel, coordinating player housing, overseeing the team's community service initiatives, acting as a liaison with academic services, organizing camps and clinics, and directing game-day setup.
With St. John's, Mullen has yet to miss a trip to the postseason, including five NCAA Tournaments and the program's first-ever Sweet 16 appearance in 2012.
Prior to her stint at Caldwell, Mullen spent one season as the junior varsity/assistant varsity coach for Northern Valley Demarest High.
A former player under Kim Barnes Arico at Adelphi University, Mullen was a two-year starter at guard for the Panthers from 2000-02. She was named the team's most valuable player as a junior after averaging 13.8 points per game. Mullen then helped the Panthers win their first New York Collegiate Athletic Conference title and advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament during her senior year. She also was a member of the volleyball team at Adelphi. Before transferring to Adelphi in 2000, Mullen was a two-year starter at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
In 2014, Mullen's Adelphi 2001-02 squad was honored with the Team Legacy Award at the school's Hall of Fame Induction. In 2015, Mullen once again found herself recognized by an alma mater, getting inducted in the the Ridgefield Park Jr./Sr. High School Hall of Fame.
A native of Ridgefield Park, N.J., Mullen earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Adelphi in 2003 and a master's degree in health sciences from New Jersey City University in 2007. In May of 2013 Mullen completed a second master's degree in administration and supervision at St. John's University.
