As a Senior (Fall 2021): Played in 35 sets and appeared in 10 games for the Red Storm before a season-ending injury … named BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year … racked up 93 kills, 103 digs, 12 blocks and six service aces … posted .233 clip with 19 kills in the victory against Rhode Island (Sept. 7, 2021)... named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
As a Junior (Spring 2021): Appeared in 47 sets and 13 matches for St. John’s… named BIG EAST Player of The Year … named to AVCA All-America Honorable Mention Team… named to AVCA East Coast All- Region Team … named to All- BIG EAST Tournament team for the third consecutive season … named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Feb. 9 and March 31… named BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year … Recorded her 1,000th kill on March 13 … led the conference with 4.19 average kills/set.

As a Freshman (2018): Played in 104 sets in 28 matches, making 25 starts for the Red Storm … registered a team-high 371 kills on the season, averaging 3.57 kills per set … notched 15 double-doubles and was named the Tournament MVP of UConn’s Dog Pound Challenge (9/15) … named Big East Freshman of the Year and secured a spot on the All-Big East First Team ... earned three conference Freshman of the Week honors … was selected to the All-Big East Tournament Team after tallying 19 kills in the team's semifinal match against Marquette (Nov. 23) … recorded 29 kills and 18 digs against Xavier (Oct. 27) … named Honorable Mention All-America by the AVCA.
At First High School of Chalastra: Alexakou is one of two players to come from Greece as part of the Red Storm’s 2018 recruiting class and was a nominee for Rookie of the Year of the Greek Women’s Championship and was named the Best Spiker for Markopoulo in 2015-16, as well as Aris in 2016-17 and 2017-18. The 6-foot outside hitter was also named the Most Valuable Player for the Aris Volleyball Club in 2018.
Off the Court: Born in Thessaloniki, Greece… Daughter of Zaria Zlatanou and Alexandros Alexakos… has one sibling, Aspasia (21)… lists shopping, walking with friends, and the cinema as her hobbies… lists being named the best player of the women’s team and being nominated for Rookie of the Year from the Greek Women’s Championship as her favorite moment of her athletic career… chose St. John’s because of the opportunities and because of it’s location… favorite quote is “The only way to do creative work is to love what you do”… favorite food is pasta… favorite song is “Anywhere” by Rita Ora… if she wasn’t playing volleyball she would want to be a psychologist.
