Christine McCarton joined the St. John's Dance Team as Head Coach in June 2002. In 2005, McCarton was also named Support Group Coordinator and currently oversees Cheerleading and the Pep Band.

McCarton comes to the Red Storm from C.W. Post-Long Island University, where she coached the Pioneer Dance team for 10 years. Prior to coaching, McCarton was a 4 year member and 3 year captain of the Pioneer Dance team.

In January2014, McCarton led the St. John's Dance Team to UDA College Nationals where they placed3rdin the nation against other Division I dance teams.

Prior to2014, the highest finish was2nd in 2011. She is also a veteran UDA judge on both the national and local level and has her certification from the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators.

A resident of Bayside, New York, she earned her bachelor's degree from C.W. Post-Long Island University.

McCarton currently serves as Principal of Chernoff Diamond & Co.,LLCan employee benefits consulting firm based inUniondale, Long Island.
