Matthew Iaria is in his third year at St. John’s in 2025-26 and his first working with the men’s basketball team. In addition to his duties with Rick Pitino’s Red Storm, Iaria also works with the St. John’s men’s golf program.
Iaria is a 2021 graduate of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y., where he was a member of the men’s soccer team and a two-time member of the Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll selection.
Before coming on full-time at St. John’s, Iaria completed his master’s degree in athletic training at the University of Idaho. As a graduate student, Iaria completed clinical rotations at the University of North Carolina, Army West Point and St. John’s.
Before assuming his duties with the men’s basketball team, Iaria also worked with the Red Storm men’s soccer, fencing and men’s tennis programs.
Iaria hails from Suffern, N.Y., and is a graduate of Suffern High School.
