St. John’s Athletics has named Michael Ruvo as the university’s director of multimedia services.
Ruvo will play a major role with SJU-TV and carry out live broadcasts on ESPN+, FloSports, and BIG EAST Digital Network for St. John’s 17 varsity athletic programs.
The newest Johnnie brings valuable professional experience back to his alma mater. Working with Digitally Marketing as an associate producer, he created engaging social media content, oversaw digital content shoots and helped produce content in all aspects. The Westchester, N.Y. native has been placed in a plethora of professional roles such as writer, director, editor, and producer allowing him to gain significant experience in the multimedia space.
Ruvo completed his bachelor’s degree in communication arts at St. John’s and has worked within the athletic department’s multimedia team as a broadcast associate since January 2021. During his time as a student, Ruvo also worked on the Red Storm Report as a production assistant, writer, and editor familiarizing himself with the insides and outs of St. John’s Athletics.
