SJU MENS SOCCER TO PLAY ON CAMPUS SUNDAY

JAMAICA, N.Y. -- The 12th-ranked St. Johns University mens soccer team will play its final home game of the season on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Providence. The game, originally scheduled for the Metropolitan Oval in Queens, will be played at DaSilva Memorial Field on the Universitys Queens campus.

The Red Storm, 9-3-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the BIG EAST, enter the final weekend of play in first place in the conference. The BIG EAST Tournament will begin at the home field of higher seeds the weekend of November 4. Semifinal and championship matches will be held on November 10 and 12.

St. Johns, one of only six schools nationally to have qualified for the last eight NCAA Tournaments, is ranked 12th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, 13th in the mens soccer media poll and 16th in the Soccer America rankings.

The Red Storm open their weekend up on Friday against Boston College. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
