SJU Men's Soccer Maintains Top-10 Ranking

The Red Storm, 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the BIG EAST, are ranked fifth this week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and fifth in the Soccer America poll. In addition, the Red Storm was rated No. 7 in the men's college soccer media poll.
St. John's opened the season by winning the UCONN Soccer Classic, beating preseason No. 1 ranked Duke and 11th-ranked Wake Forest in the process. They followed that up with a 2-1 overtime win over Seton Hall to open BIG EAST play. After dropping a game to Pittsburgh, the Red Storm shut out Syracuse, 2-0, and posted a 5-1 win over Villanova on Sunday.
St. John's takes to the road again this weekend, playing at West Virginia on Friday, and at Georgetown on Sunday.
